Practice 7

The other day, we did experiments to stimulate our sensory system.

- Vision:

• Rods and cones: there was a dark room (which our eyes adjust to it) and they showed us objects so we had to recognize the details and colours in them.
• The blind spot: there were two pictures. If we put them farther or closer a spot, in the first pic, and a mouse, in the second one disappeared.
• Optical illusions: there were images that looked like they moved.
• Color blindness: we did it to check if we were color blind.

- Effect of smell on taste: we tasted some juices without being able to smell, and we had to guess which flavour was each.

- Touch: I didn´t have time to do this one.

- Temperature perception: there were different buckets of water, one cold, one warm, and the middle one, normal.

- Hearing:

• Orienting to sound: you sat and someone made noises and you had to guess where they came from.
